Castra Pretoria, Rome: from 21 AD to the present, a journey through time!

Used as barracks for the Praetorian Guard under Emperor Tiberius, in 1937 the area was given to the City of Rome's electricity company and transformed to meet growing energy demand and technological advances.

Today it houses Areti's primary high-voltage substation and was illuminated by Cefla Engineering, just in time for Republic Day, June 2, 2025.
