Read our Maurizio Amato's article about the Cefla Engineering realization, with a General Contracting approach.
"The main challenge consisted in the construction design due to the complexity of the technological systems and the need to ensure bio-containment health care performance on site. In addition, the project is the first in Italy to use the Light Steel Frame system in a hospital setting.
The three months of preparation allowed for the optimization and integration of structural, building and plant components, including off-site pre-assembly with immediate installation of some components. Close collaboration with the contracting station facilitated adherence to a marginless schedule.
The renovation of the sub-intensive care unit posed the typical problems of work in functioning hospital buildings: integration of design and clinical engineering, reduction of interference with health care activities, subdivision by phases, maximum containment of dust, vibration and noise."
